Recognition for student clubs
- Run by ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ.lu students for ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ.lu students
- No ASBL status required
Student clubs will only be recognised if the following criteria are met:
- The application for recognition must be made by current ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ students.
- The members of student clubs must be regularly enrolled students at the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ.
- The core activities of a new student club must not overlap with an existing club/association or go against the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ’s values.
- Clubs must not replicate a current service offered by the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõversity.
- Clubs must be open to all ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ students.
- Clubs may not have any political or religious purpose.
- The clubs’ services and organised events should be mainly geared towards registered students at the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõversity (Bachelor or Master students or doctoral candidates).
Services offered
- Small room reservation
- Printing
- Advertisement on the Office of Student Life social media pages and
- Listed on website
- Invitation to the Students in Action Days
- May apply to the Student Department for further financial assistance (extraordinary event or expenses), funding awarded on a case-by-case basis. (certain conditions have to be met: bank account, insurance, and security questions to be resolved beforehand)
- Recognition of involvement via the Certificate in Student Engagement and Leadership (ECTS)
Services not offered
- Larger events (insurance and security conditions)
- Exception: in collaboration with recognised student association
- Invitation to Welcome Day and Open Day. Alternative: list provided in bags/on site

- Monthly presidents’ meeting
- Annual financial assistance from the Vice-Rector for Academic and Student Affairs if application submitted before the deadline. VRA financial help before deadline (€1.000)

Application for a student club
- The deadline to apply for renewals is the last Sunday of July for the following academic year.
- The deadline to apply to become a new club can be considered throughout the academic year.
- For renewals, an annual activity report must be submitted to the OSL (osl@uni.lu) before the application submission.
- The application must be submitted via the Student Service Portal [! Link will be added soon !].
