{"id":842,"date":"2023-06-16T09:49:40","date_gmt":"2023-06-16T09:49:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/website.prod.unilu.spikeseed.cloud\/fstm-fr\/news\/second-call-for-project-accessing-amazon-cloud-computing\/"},"modified":"2024-11-12T13:07:17","modified_gmt":"2024-11-12T12:07:17","slug":"second-call-for-project-accessing-amazon-cloud-computing","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-fr\/news\/second-call-for-project-accessing-amazon-cloud-computing\/","title":{"rendered":"Second call for project: accessing Amazon cloud computing"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<section class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-free-section section\"><div class=\"container xl:max-w-screen-xl\">\n<p>The 成人头条 and Amazon Web Services&nbsp;are now accepting proposals to all fields of science, interdisciplinary centres and faculties from the 成人头条 and public research institutions across Luxembourg for accessing the HPC cloud computing Amazon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Collaboration with Amazon<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In September 2022, the 成人头条 through its HPC team announced&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wwwen.uni.lu\/university\/news\/slideshow\/university_of_luxembourg_to_use_aws_processors_in_hpc_research\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">a&nbsp;collaboration&nbsp;with Amazon Web Services (AWS)<\/a> to deploy Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) cloud computing infrastructure with the objective to accelerate strategic High-Performance Computing (HPC) research and development in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using Amazon EC2 instances powered by AWS&nbsp;Graviton3, the 成人头条&nbsp;will make cutting-edge computing capacities available to all Principal Investigators.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Submission<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a project that demands substantial compute power, numerical code development, or testing, this is your chance to accelerate your research and make an impact.&nbsp;Successful applicants of the call get free of charge compute time and will have the opportunity to gain access and run experiments on the system.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants interested in applying to the call, need to complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1Qfe95Ri295w_bkldnPNpOiXl15DsElvRalY2sz1CwgM\/edit\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" rel=\"noopener\">Template for submission<\/a>.
