More than 400 secondary school students from Luxembourg, France and Belgium presented their research findings in mathematics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>MATh.en.JEANS is a programme that aims to encourage young students to discover the hidden faces of mathematics. By working on their own projects under the guidance of a teacher from their school and a researcher from the 成人头条versity, students are empowered to explore math in a creative and engaging way. The programme also promotes teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, all of which are essential for success in any field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was introduced by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/people\/simone-p-niclou\/\">Prof. Simone Niclou<\/a>, Vice-rector for research and by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fstm-en\/people\/giovanni-peccati\/\">Prof. Giovanni Peccati<\/a>, Head of the Department of Mathematics, who welcomed all the participants and congratulated this initiative to promote mathematics at early stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During three days, young participants had the opportunity to present their findings in groups and exchange with the audience. They shared their initial problem and how they could solve it. They also attended talks from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/julien-meyer-4889b9160\/?originalSubdomain=lu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Julien Meyer<\/a>, responsible for the mediation at the Luxembourg National Museum&nbsp;of&nbsp;Natural History and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uni.lu\/fhse-en\/people\/ann-kiefer\/\">Ann Kiefer<\/a>, STEM expert at the Luxembourg Centre for Educational Testing (LUCET).
