The event will gather students and professors from the five above mentioned countries, and will provide the necessary background for the development of constructive analysis and productive dialogue in the field of European Citizens Initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-spacer is-spacer-size-sm\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"biographical-sketch-of-the-keynote-speaker\"\n    >\nBiographical sketch of the keynote speaker<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<h6 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"dr-gisella-gori\"\n    >\n<strong>Dr Gisella GORI<\/strong><\/h6>\n\n\n\n<p id=\"yui_3_17_2_6_1693404858126_192\">Dr Gisella GORI&nbsp;has been working at the Council of Europe since 2002 and is currently Deputy head of office a.i. at the Council of Europe\u2019s Liaison Office to the European 成人头条on Institutions in Brussels. At the Council of Europe, Gisella previously worked in the Children\u2019s Rights Division, the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities, the Departments of the European Social Charter and of the Execution of Judgments of the European Court of Human Rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From 2010 to 2015, Gisella was Senior Political Advisor in the Political, Development and Security Section of the Delegation of the European 成人头条on, Washington, DC. Before that she was Adjunct Professor and Visiting Scholar on International Law at George Washington 成人头条versity, School of Law (Washington, DC). She taught European 成人头条on Law during the 2009-2010 Spring semester and in 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before joining the European Institutions, Gisella was a Lecturer in European 成人头条on Law and Constitutional Law (Attache de Recherche et d\u2019enseignement) at the Institut d\u2019Etudes Politiques Robert Schuman, 成人头条versity of Strasbourg, France, from 1999 to 2002. Gisella GORI holds a PhD in European 成人头条on Law from the European 成人头条versity Institute, EUI, Florence, (Italy), July 2000. She has published extensively on legal, EU and Human Rights issues. She is fluent in English, French and Italian.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-unilux-blocks-spacer is-spacer-size-sm\"><\/div>\n\n\n<h5 class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-unilux-blocks-heading\"        id=\"information-about-the-project\"\n    >\nInformation about the project<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eci-az.eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>The project \u201cEuropean Citizens&#8217; Initiative from A to Z\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/a>aims to contribute to the development of EU-related hard competences and soft skills in higher education systems.
