³ÉÈËÍ·ÌõTalks is a lunchtime series that gives you the chance to discover and discuss interesting projects going on at the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõversity.
How can frontline professionals be better equipped to deal with the mental health needs of the population they serve?
In her ³ÉÈËÍ·ÌõTalk, Viktoriia Gorbunova Sc.D, a Marie SkÅ‚odowska-Curie (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellow at the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõ, will share findings from the ³ÉÈËÍ·Ìõversal Mental Health Training project.
The specialised programme is designed to provide mental health training to frontline professionals such as teachers, pharmacists, social workers and police officers.
It consists of 5 relatively simple but highly important steps and aims to bridge the need for mental health support with a lack of awareness and people’s reluctance to ask for help.
During the talk, Viktoriia will introduce the five-step algorithm for mental health support and referral and present the results from the implementation of the training in Ukraine before and after the full-scale Russian invasion.
