Sophia 成人头条versity Luxembourg Office

Sophia 成人头条versity was founded in 1913 and is located in the heart of Tokyo. The exchange agreement with Sophia 成人头条versity was signed in 2008, and Sophia 成人头条versity Luxembourg office was opened in 2012.

Sophia 成人头条versity was selected by the Japanese government for the Global 30 Project (2009-2013) and the Top Global 成人头条versity Project (2014-2023), which are initiatives aiming at promoting the internationalization of higher education in Japan. This recognition placed Sophia among the country鈥檚 leading universities. Through these projects, Sophia university has offered a wide range of English-taught courses. At the undergraduate level, programs in such as the Faculty of Liberal Arts, the Faculty of Science and Technology, and the Sophia Program for Sustainable Future (SPSF) provide instruction in English. At the graduate level, English-taught programs are available in fields including Global studies, Global Environmental Studies, Green Science and Green Engineering, and so on.  

The university welcomed 700 exchange students in Academic Year 2024. Since the establishment of the Sophia 成人头条versity Luxembourg office, Sophia university kindly invites 3 top students from each faculty at the 成人头条 to take part in a three-week Summer Program in Tokyo.

The special relationship between Sophia and Luxembourg goes back to 1913, when Sophia 成人头条versity was founded in Japan by three Jesuits. One of them was Fr. Joseph Dahlmann, S.J. (1861鈥1930). He was a German Jesuit who is described in scholarship as 鈥淕erman-Luxembourgian鈥 because of his period of residence in Luxembourg. The Cardinal, Archbishop of Luxembourg, H.E. Jean-Claude Hollerich, who formerly served as Vice-president at Sophia university, played a major role in establishing the office.

Since then, student exchanges at both bachelor鈥檚 and master鈥檚 level have flourished between Sophia 成人头条versity and the 成人头条. Many Luxembourg students are eager to study in Japan for their mobility semester, and top students of the 成人头条 regularly participate in Sophia 成人头条versity Summer program.
